There’s a contest going on at “Letsmix.com” It’s called the “Next Generation DJ Contest”. The prize is more than just a bit of software or a cool set of fancy headphones. The prize is pretty much the end-all for contests of this kind … basically it’s a shot a being the next ‘Above & Beyond’ or ‘Armin van Buuren’. This is the real deal.

I’ve been entering mixes in a bunch of random contests, but decided that this one needed was important enough to upload one of the later, more well received mixes. So EXHILARATOR, it is.

But … There’s a big “catch” in the way the winner is chosen here. No matter how good the mix is … I need votes! I need over 100 listens and the highest star ratings to move on to the next stage. And that’s how I need you to help. Listen to EXHILARATOR, rate the mix (of course I’d love 5 stars, I won’t lie) and share the mix on your Facebook Page, your Twitter, your blog, your whatever … email the link, tell all your friends to listen and vote and tell them to do the same thing pass the link on encourage everyone to vote (and vote soon) … there are only a few days left — the deadline is Jan 31st.

A couple of weeks ago I closed access to my Bandcamp.com site. I tried widgets and shopping carts because honestly, I was hoping that I could create a shop right here on the site but that turned out to be more work than I felt like doing and it was getting in the way of writing more music.

SO … After quite a few emails from fans who hated the widgets, the Bandcamp.com Store has been relaunched.

And since my birthday is coming up very soon, people have been asking me what I want . The only thing I could think of was, “Downloads”. I just want as many people to enjoy my music as possible.

SO … I’ve reduced the price 50% on each album. That’s just $4.99 USD for each. Buy both and it’s the same as getting only ONE album from iTunes or Amazon.  It’s well over two hours of music and when you purchase them — rather than just listen to them for free in your browser — or steal them using browser add-ons GASP! — I’m able to afford to write more music, tour clubs, and pay bills, oh … and feed my dog (which actually comes at the beginning of that list.)

‘The Unknowns’, my new studio album, has been received quite well since I ‘semi-quietly’ released it several weeks back. I’m excited by all of the great feedback I’ve gotten on it so far. Thank you for all of the support and great comments, texts, emails and calls. It means a lot to me that you enjoy the music as much as you have.

What started out (back in 2004) as a personal collection of music that I put together as a sort of introspective musical diary, is now available to everyone. I admit I was a bit nervous to release a bunch of songs that I’d kept from almost everyone in my life for the past five years. But I’m glad I did; it means even more to me when the music has meaning to you as it does to me while I’m writing it.

With that said, the limited time free downloads of the prerelease version of “The Unknowns” is over, you can still check out a few of the songs in the players below, and checkback for the latest on which stores will be featuring the new album.

Well, this has been a long time coming. After a complete site overhaul, redesign and other additions, I’ve got new music for you as well.

Actually, it’s new to you; this is a collection of tracks I recorded a few years ago and have never released them to the public until now (in fact, hardly anyone’s heard these six songs).

The collection, titled The Unknowns, is a little different than what I’ve put out before; with a little bit of chill-out, techno, trance and world music, I thought of it more as introspective than dance floor anthem oriented. So I kept it to myself.

Now, I’m sharing it with you. I hope you enjoy it. There will be a link  to listen to each track as well as well as download them.

These six tracks are free, and they’re DRM-Free High Quality MP3 Files. So, you’ll be able to play them on any device. They’re also fully tagged with covert art included.
